These stages have 90 mm x 90 mm mounting area with M6 tapped holes and 12 mm diameter access holes. Drive is by a standard micrometer through the center of the stage. Carriage (moving part) is spring loaded against the spindle of the micrometer head to avoid back-lash. The use of rollers as rolling elements reduces friction and stick-slip to negligible level. Co-efficient of friction in these stages is less than 0.003.

XY and XYZ configurations, as shown in the pictures, are possible with these stages by the sue accessories like angle brackets and adapter plates. While assembling Z axis for vertical movements, top surface of the stage need to be clamped to angle brackets for increased load capacity. In this arrangement, load will be on the micrometer spindle rather than on the springs.
