Holmarc offers traveling microscope with three axes measurement possibility, horizontal, vertical and right angled transverse motion. It has micrometer with resolution of 10 micron for measurement. The use of micrometer enables precise and accurate measurements unlike commonly available traveling microscopes with vernier scale readings.
The instrument finds wide applications in general purpose scientific and industrial measurements. By attaching a suitable CCD camera, images can be saved and documented in a computer for further analysis.
It can be used for accurate measurements of the diameters of different objects. Other applications include accurate determination of small variation in the liquid levels, determination of refractive index of liquids, surface tension, viscosity etc.
Multi-threaded steel posts having adjustable collar is used for holding the microscope head. Coarse positioning in vertical direction can be achieved using the thread and nut mechanism. A wide heavy base with three point supports is for provided for extra stability and leveling. The extra wide base can also be used for placing large objects for measurements. |
