Lab Equipment
Holmarc’s Dip Coating Unit has been designed in such a manner which minimizes the operator’s effort. The variables like speed, duration, etc. are maintained accurately by microprocessor control. Dip-coating process, includes five stages: immersion, start-up, deposition, evaporation and drainage. The coating thickness depends on various parameters like viscosity of the coating solution, immersion time, withdrawal speed, evaporation rate etc.
Movements are achieved by a precision servo motor controlled linear stage. Adjustable stroke length and accurate speed control are the exceptional features of this model along with its capability of achieving a uniform coating. This is a compact, bench-top coating unit having structural rigidity and is free from vibrations.
Dip coating can be defined as a coating process in which the substrate to be coated is dipped into a tank containing the coating solution and then withdrawn at a well-defined speed in order to obtain a uniform coating. Dip-coating process, includes five stages: immersion, start-up, deposition, evaporation and drainage. The coating thickness depends on various parameters like viscosity of the coating solution, immersion time, withdrawal speed, evaporation rate etc. Dip coating is an industrial coating process which can be used to manufacture bulk products such as coated fabrics and specialized coatings in the biomedical field. Dip coating is commonly used in academic research, where many chemical and nanomaterial engineering research projects use the dip coating technique to create thin film coatings.
Established in 1993, Holmarc Opto-Mechatronics Ltd manufactures variety of scientific and engineering instruments for research, industry and education.
