Analytical Instruments
The main objective of solar simulation technology is to produce illumination approximating natural sunlight in order to provide a controllable indoor test facility under laboratory conditions. Our Xenon arc lamp based solar simulators provide the closest solar spectral spectra available from artificial sources. These solar simulators, also called sun simulators, provide excellent price performance. The solar simulators can be used both in laboratory or production environments. Solar simulators are used in a wide range of research areas including photobiology, photo-oxidation, photodegradation, photovoltaics, and photocatalysis. It can be used for the testing of any processes or materials that are photosensitive, including solar cells, sun screen, cosmetics, plastics, aerospace materials, skin cancer, bioluminescence materials, photosynthesis, water treatment, crude-oil degradation, and free radical formation. In short, it can be used in any application where the effects of exposure to sunlight are to be studied.
Our solar simulators are available with three different air mass (AM) filters: AM0, AM1 and AM1.5. Class A Spectral Match Optical Intensity Stability < 1%. Features include built in timer, monitoring the bulb operating time, automatic/programmable Shutter Control, Optical power monitoring/feedback photo detector, 360 degree rotatable head, external solar power meter Etc. Optional bandwidth filters are available for spectral measurements. Contact us for more details
