A lock in measurement extracts signals in a defined frequency band around the reference frequency, efficiently rejecting all other frequency components. A lock in amplifier performs multiplication of its input with a reference signal. The ideal lock-in amplifier will detect only the part of the input signal having the same frequency and phase as of the reference signal.
Holmarc Lock-in amplifier model HO-LIA-02 provides a cost-effective solution to perform lock-in measurements in a variety of applications. It accepts modulated signal and the reference signal and provides amplified output of the input signal component which matches with the frequency and phase of the reference signal. The input coupling mode, input gain, time constant, phase shift and the output gain can be controlled using front panel knobs and switches.
